Phoolon ki Holi
"Phoolon ki Holi" (Flower Holi) is one of the most celebrated festivals in the Braj region, particularly renowned in Mathura and Vrindavan, where it is joyfully observed with showers of vibrant flower petals rather than colors. Among the most prominent artists featured in the 2026 edition are Vandna Shri and Raas Mandal, whose performances add to the spiritual and cultural richness of this traditional celebration.(Phoolon ki Holi is a serene, devotional alternative to the colorful Rangwali Holi, often held in temples like Banke Bihari in Vrindavan around late February or early March, evoking the divine love of Radha and Krishna through fragrance, bhajans, and floral devotion.)
Mayur Nritya
The "Mayur Nritya" (Peacock Dance) is one of the most enchanting highlights of Holi in the Braj region (Mathura-Vrindavan). In this captivating performance, skilled artists don elaborate costumes adorned with peacock feathers to beautifully depict the divine love between Radha and Krishna. Among the foremost exponents of this graceful dance are Vandna Shri and talented performers from various cultural ensembles (such as Raas Mandal), who present it with great finesse alongside celebrations like Barsana's Lathmar Holi and traditional Raas Leela.This devotional peacock dance, inspired by Krishna's playful bond with nature and the peacocks of Braj, evokes the joy and romance of the eternal divine romance, often performed during the vibrant Holi festivities in Vrindavan and Mathura.
She has presented over 8,000 monumental shows across the world including India, Lucknow Mahotsav,Taj Mahotsav,Jhansi Mahotsav and many more. The spectators who had witnessed her performances rightly commend that Vandna Shree means Folk Dances and Folk Dance is Vandnashree. She has been dedicated in serving folk music continuously for 40 years.
Vandna Shri, popularly known as Braj Gaurav, is a Master in M.Sc in Physics, and B.Ed expert in Classical Music (NIPUN),Visharad in Folk Dance,Sugam Sangeet IMPA (MPA) and a qualified instructor with Prabhakar in Kathak.
Future Visions
She is the renowned artist who also doing remarkable work in the form of art,literature, folk culture and charitable service through "Braj Lok Sanskriti Evam Seva Sansthan" and "Braj Parmarth Sangh", dedicated to the preservation of Indian music,art and culture,solely run by Vandna Shri herself.
